Video: The Making of a Wedding Dress (No.3)

This is a little video showing the making of a wedding dress, the process from sketch to construction.  I had a wonderful time working Laura on her dream dress and I am grateful to her for allowing me to video this process.

NM Wedding Blog

Last week I had the greatest pleasure of speaking to Susana from the NM Wedding Blog.  Susana and her husband Juan, also in the wedding industry, have started a new venture in bringing engaged couples together with some of the best wedding vendors in New Mexico.  Their blog is filled with gorgeous photos and great resources.
Susana, came by the studio to meet with me and asked if I'd be interested in doing a podcast, of course my answer was YES!  I was super thrilled and felt very honored.  Click HERE to listen to our little chat.

This week I've been featured on the blog to share my thoughts on fashion trends and what we can expect to see in upcoming weddings.
To hear the podcast, read the fashion trends, and for great wedding inspiration and ideas please the NM Wedding Blog !

Thank you Susana for all your support and I wish you and the NM Wedding Blog many years of success!

New Years 2013 Santa Fe, NM

My father passed away on January 1, 2008 from a sudden heart attack and it was a huge shock to all of us.  On the one year anniversary of his passing I spent the day very sad and not in a very celebratory mood.  However, since then I've decided that I can no longer morn his passing but instead, celebrate the many wonderful years I had with him.
The past three New Years Eves' have been spent in Santa Fe, New Mexico.  Only an hours drive from Albuquerque, this mini "get away" does wonders for me every year.
Aside from all the wonderful food, shopping and libations, I enjoy visiting the Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi and the Loretto Chapel, opened in 1878.  Though I am not a religious person, my dad was raised a very strict Catholic and I do feel that visiting these churches brings me much comfort.

I always return refreshed, excited and incredibly inspired!

These are a few Instagram photos from this past week.

We also stumbled upon this great little shop called Things Finer that had beautiful silver, jewelry, papers and little oddities.  The gentleman there was so helpful and I found a beautiful  Christian Lacroix journal and a lovely soap for my mom.  They're located just inside the plaza, I recommend stopping by if ever you're in Santa Fe.

I hope you all had a wonderful and safe New Years and I would love to hear about your New Years traditions as well.
